Directors and Officers
Meet our Board of Directors
Gary Kight is proud to serve as a Director on the Board of Directors for AANR-Florida. For Gary, naturism is about much more than simply being comfortable without clothing—it’s about community, friendship, acceptance, and being able to enjoy life authentically and without judgment.
Gary values the friendships and connections that come from being part of the naturist community and is passionate about helping others feel welcomed and included. He believes that everyone should have the opportunity to experience the freedom, relaxation, and sense of belonging that naturism can provide.
As a Board Director, Gary looks forward to giving back to the community he cares about, listening to members, supporting Florida’s naturist clubs and resorts, and helping AANR-Florida continue to grow. He is excited to work alongside fellow volunteers and members to build an even stronger, more connected, and welcoming naturist community throughout Florida.
Gary has been a member of First Coast Naturist for about 7 years and has been an AANR member for all of those years.
Gary has been to Suwannee Valley Resort, Lake Como, Cypress Cove and Sunny Sands. Along with Playalinda Beach.
Brian serves as an AANR-Florida Director and a member of the region’s PR Committee. His experience in the nudist community includes club leadership, event organizing, marketing, and broadcasting. He previously served as an AANR West Director, AANR West Vice President, and AANR Trustee.
At Glen Eden Sun Club in California, Brian served as Recreation Chair, Director of Marketing, and Vice President. He also owned Naturally California Nudist Club, a non-landed club whose activities included nude swims, whale-watching trips, and roller skating. These experiences gave him a firsthand appreciation for both landed and non-landed clubs and the friendships built through shared activities.
Brian owns NudistClubhouse.com and NudistClubhouse.com Radio, where he hosts the weekly program Around the Clubhouse. He also works for ClothesFree.com on its Nudes in the News video program. He produced the NudistClubhouse.com EXPO in Las Vegas in 2012 and 2013.
Brian was named AANR Man of the Year in 2012 and received AANR West’s Bob Page Memorial Award for outstanding nude advocacy that same year. His clubs also earned AANR’s Glen Eden Award for outstanding publicity events: Naturally California in 2005, and NudistClubhouse.com in 2012 for its Las Vegas EXPO.
Through his work with AANR-Florida, Brian brings this background to helping people discover nude recreation, connecting members with clubs and events, and sharing the everyday enjoyment of life as a nudist. He wants newcomers to feel welcome and longtime members to find more ways to participate and stay connected.
Meet our Officers
Joe is a higher education consultant and a peer reviewer for the Higher Learning Commission. He has a B.A. in Psychology from Illinois Wesleyan University, a M.S. in psychology and Ph.D. in Educational Administration and Foundations from Illinois State University.
Joe retired from public higher education after teaching at Heartland Community College (Bloomington/Normal, IL), and holding administrative positions at Illinois State University, Western Illinois University in Macomb and Moline, and the University of the Virgin Islands. He lives in Dorado, Puerto Rico with his husband Scott and enjoys travel and nude beaches.
Joe is in his first term on the AANR-Florida Board of Directors serving as the Caribbean Liaison for our region that includes Florida, the Caribbean and Eastern Mexico. The greatest part of my day is engaging in and supporting nude recreation. There are many corresponding opportunities within the Caribbean and I am always happy to share those with you, work to increase what we have, and to make sure that those traveling to Florida have AANR opportunities top of mind.
I have been part of AANR-Florida since June of 2011 when my husband and I became members. I assisted in the Opening of a new club called Sunnier Pines located in Jay, FL which was owned by an AANR member who leased a campground from the owner to run as a nudist campground. I became manager of this club in 2012 and worked until the lease was over in July of 2014, when at that time the owner of the campground took over and renamed it Hidden Lake. During this time I was elected to be a Director on the Board of Directors in 2013. In June of 2015, President Ralph Collinson at that time, elected me to be Secretary/Treasurer for the Board of Directors and I have been elected every year since. My husband and I live in NW Florida outside of Jay, which is near Pensacola.. We have 2 daughters, 5 grandchildren, 1 great grandson, and another one on the way.
I have been a lifelong nudist starting in grade school in the 1950’s. During the first half of my life I enjoyed nude recreation on public lands in New England, Virginia and Florida. Upon moving to Florida my wife and I became associated with the North East Florida Naturists (NFN) and we were introduced to AANR and we are now lifetime members. I have been very active in AANR and naturist concerns in Florida over the last 15 years. I’m a past president and director of NFN. Past president (three terms) and director of AANR-Florida. Current Florida Member Trustee on the AANR Board. Over the last 10 years I have worked to enhance nude recreation in Florida. During this time, we have gained a new naturist beach and solidified our hold on several others. We have gained acceptance by the State of Florida as a special interest tourist industry with a significant monitory impact. We are active members of Visit Florida dedicated to attracting nudists worldwide to nude recreation in Florida. During my tenure in Florida we have been able to unify the various nudist organizations to speak with one voice. In addition to AANR I’m also a member of South Florida Free Beaches, First Coast Naturist, Northeast Florida Naturists and The Naturist Society.
