Directors and Officers

Meet our Board of Directors

Dave Berry
Director

Dave hails from Houston, Texas. His formative years were spent in Sonoma, California, and he graduated from Spring Woods High in Houston, Texas, in 1971. He attended the University of Houston for one year before enlisting in the Navy, and started his duties with a tour in Guam. Shortly thereafter, he was selected for the Navy Enlisted Scientific Education Program and was assigned, while on active duty, to the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss) where he completed a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. He was commissioned an Ensign, US Navy, in 1979. Various sea tours in the Mediterranean and visits to Spain, Tunisia, Italy, Israel, Monaco and Lake Tahoe heightened Dave's interest in social nudism. Dave's status as a US Navy officer precluded active participation in the nudist lifestyle until he retired from the Navy in 1994 and made his residence in Jacksonville, Florida.

Dave visited several nudist resorts in the interim years and in 2000, he met his wife Kassie. They were married at the Sunny Sands Resort in Pierson, Florida in September 2001. In 2013, Dave and Kassie founded the AANR chartered First Coast Naturists traveling club, using the MEETUP.com social interest platform to create and administer the group. Dave retired from the corporate world in 2019. Dave was elected to the AANR Florida board in 2020 and re-elected in 2022.

Rocco Terrizzi
Director

Growing up in New Brunswick, NJ, home to Rutgers University marked the first 21 years of my life. The Vietnam War derailed my initial plans, leading me to enlist in the US Air Force in 1971. After serving for 21 years of service, I retired from the military and embarked on an IT career with Microsoft, Perot Systems, and Dell, culminating in my eventual retirement from Key Safety Systems in 2015.

I embraced the nudist lifestyle in the year 1995, commencing my journey at Carolina Foothills, SC. Subsequently, I relocated from North Carolina to Florida, where I settled at Sunny Sands in Pierson. It was there that I had the privilege of meeting John Weibler, the former president of FANR (Florida Association of Nude Recreation). Through his encouragement, I became actively involved in FANR. After several years of diligently publishing the FANR newsletter, I was voted in as a director in 1998.

During my years in service to FANR, my main interest was the nude beaches. After a hurricane destroyed a crossover at Playalinda, I was instrumental in raising money for repairs. I met successfully with Superintendent Newkirk of the National Canaveral Seashore to create a nude beach at the north end, thus starting Friends of Apollo Beach.

My last year as a director for FANR was 2004 after moving households to the west coast of Florida. I became involved with Nautical Nudists. After serving briefly as President, I took on the position of webmaster of Nautical Nudists

I met my wife at Paradise Lakes in 2010 and we had a nude wedding there in 2012. She is currently the Treasurer of Nautical Nudists, and I am now very active with Nautical Nudists promoting AANR membership and nudist events.

As a Director, I will continue to educate nudists on how AANR will benefit them and future generations of nudists.

Michele Weiss
Director

I have be a nudist most of my life. My mom raised me as a nudist from the time I was 5 years old. My first experience was going to Lake Como. I took to it right away. Unfortunately my brother didn’t like getting naked so we went over to then AANR Chartered Paradise Lakes, where I grew up with lots of other nudist children playing water volleyball, sand volleyball and helping run kids activities. I would also go to Cypress Cove a few times a year with my mom and Aunt.

I have lived in Lutz since high school, graduating from Sickles High School in 2003. I was in the honors program at Hillsborough Community College for 1 1/2 years. I had to withdraw due to medical reasons and a work accident in 2005. I have worked for Disney for 17+ years now and plan on being there til I retire.

I joined a now defunct Florida Young Naturists group in 2017 and was the membership director for a few years. I then joined a group called United Naturists where I began as the membership director. I am now proud to say I am the executive director of United Naturists and we are an AANR Chartered non-landed club.

I am a life time member of AANR. I believe my age group is the future of nudism. And I’m here to work hard for our youth to have a strong voice in tomorrow future of nudism!

Meet our Officers

Joe Rives

He lives in Dorado, Puerto Rico with his husband Scott and enjoys travel and nude beaches.

Joe is in his first term on the AANR-Florida Board of Directors serving as the Caribbean Liaison for our region that includes Florida, the Caribbean and Eastern Mexico. The greatest part of my day is engaging in and supporting nude recreation. There are many corresponding opportunities within the Caribbean and I am always happy to share those with you, work to increase what we have, and to make sure that those traveling to Florida have AANR opportunities top of mind.

Mac Fleck

Mac is entering his 2nd Term as Vice President of AANR-Florida.

With extensive knowledge of both the Florida and Eastern Regions, as well as multiple contacts across the country and Canada, Mac brings a well-balanced perspective of our nudist communities to the Region.

Lu Ann Heintz
Secretary/Treasurer

I have been part of AANR-Florida since June of 2011 when my husband and I became members. I assisted in the Opening of a new club called Sunnier Pines located in Jay, FL which was owned by an AANR member who leased a campground from the owner to run as a nudist campground. I became manager of this club in 2012 and worked until the lease was over in July of 2014, when at that time the owner of the campground took over and renamed it Hidden Lake. During this time I was elected to be a Director on the Board of Directors in 2013. In June of 2015, President Ralph Collinson at that time, elected me to be Secretary/Treasurer for the Board of Directors and I have been elected every year since. My husband and I live in NW Florida outside of Jay, which is near Pensacola.. We have 2 daughters, 5 grandchildren, 1 great grandson, and another one on the way.
